How to set up DriveIt for a Turo fleet: co-host invite, email forwarding, VIN import

Updated October 30, 2026, 5 minute read

DriveIt brings your Turo trips, messages, earnings and reviews into one place. Getting there takes two connections on your side and a list of your VINs. Here is the order that works.

1. Create your host account

Sign up as a host. Every DriveIt tool is free for the rest of 2026, so there is no plan to choose first.

2. Invite DriveIt's co-host on Turo Teams

On Turo, open Teams and invite the co-host address shown in DriveIt's Turo setup. This is what lets DriveIt see your cars and trips, and act on them when you ask: filing check-ins, posting tolls, blocking dates.

You stay in control: DriveIt only imports the cars whose VINs you enter.

3. Enter your VINs

In List your car, answer Yes to "Would you like to import car details from Turo?", then type, paste or upload your VINs from Excel or CSV.

Make, model, year, plate, daily price, trip discounts and photos come over as drafts for you to check. It takes about 5 minutes per car and runs in the background, and you're notified as each one finishes.

4. Forward Turo's emails from Gmail

Turo's emails carry things its trip data doesn't, such as earnings and reimbursement updates. In Gmail, add DriveIt's forwarding address, then create the filter for Turo's emails. The Turo setup page walks through both.

Reservations shows a note until this is working: first "set up Turo email forwarding", then "waiting on your first Turo email", and then it goes away.

5. Bring in your history

Email forwarding only covers what arrives from now on. For earlier earnings and payouts, download your CSV exports from Turo and use Import Turo CSVs.

What needs what

Not every tool needs every connection, so you can start small.

  • Co-host invite: car import, calendar, Turo messages, check-in and check-out, tolls posted to Turo, parking location, license review
  • Email forwarding: earnings, payouts, review removal answers, toll invoice status
  • A Bouncie or MooveTrax tracker: readings filled in for you, late return checks, pickup time, the live map
  • Stripe: only if you take direct bookings or charge a card

Questions

Does this replace my Turo account?

No. Your listings, trips and payouts stay on Turo. DriveIt works alongside them as a co-host.

How long does the import take?

About 5 minutes per car, in the background.
