Car rental software for small fleets: how DriveIt compares
DriveIt is for hosts with a handful of cars up to a small fleet who run on Turo and want direct bookings in the same account, and it's the only direct booking platform with two-way Turo calendar blocking. It isn't counter software: there is no walk-up point of sale or multi-branch inventory. Below, product by product, is what we found on each vendor's own site in October 2026.
Full comparisons
- DriveIt vs. Standard FleetStandard Fleet is telematics-first fleet software from $18 per vehicle a month. DriveIt runs the Turo workflow: check-ins, tolls, reviews, payouts, profit per car. Free for the rest of 2026.
- DriveIt vs. FleetSnapFleetSnap sells software plans from $6 per car and a Concierge plan with a human operations team. DriveIt is software only, files on Turo for you, and is free for the rest of 2026.
- DriveIt vs. FleetBoldFleetBold is GPS and rental software with plans from free to $149 a month. DriveIt acts on Turo for you and adds direct bookings. Free for the rest of 2026.
- DriveIt vs. FleetDogFleetDog is a phone app for Turo hosts with Turo email sync, seven tracker brands and a subscription. DriveIt acts on Turo through the co-host role and is free for the rest of 2026.
ParkMyShare: parking, not management software
ParkMyShare is airport parking for Turo hosts, at the 17 airports it lists, with a vehicle subscription of $5.99 per car per month and parking rates that vary by location (parkmyshare.com, read October 30, 2026). It doesn't replace DriveIt, and DriveIt doesn't offer parking. Hosts who park there still need somewhere to run their trips.
Looking at Fleetwire, HQ Rental Software, Softcar or Rentid?
We haven't been able to verify enough on their own sites to compare them fairly, so we're not quoting facts about them here. These are the questions we'd ask of any of them, and how DriveIt answers: it files on Turo through the co-host role, checks payouts against your bank, shows profit per car, and is free for the rest of 2026.
- Does it write to Turo, or only read it?
- Syncing a calendar is one thing. Ask whether it files check-ins, posts tolls and blocks dates on Turo, and how.
- What does it do with Turo's money?
- Ask whether it checks Turo's payouts against your bank, and shows profit per car after expenses.
- What does it cost at your fleet size?
- Ask about per-car or per-seat pricing, minimums, and any booking commission.
- Are you buying it for Turo or for a rental counter?
- General rental systems are built around running a rental company. If that's you, they may suit you better than DriveIt.
Questions
Which rental software should a bigger operation look at?
If you run counters, several branches or corporate accounts, look at general car rental systems. DriveIt is built for hosts running a few cars to a small fleet on Turo and online.
How were these comparisons made?
From each vendor's own website or app listing, on the date shown on each page. We quote what they say and leave out what we couldn't verify.
